Toastapp is the result of years of researches during not-so-well organised parties. It’s a project I started with a friend of mine – who was the UI designer – but we never developed. However, it still does seem a cool project to me.
Sketch
Paper
Pilot V7
BYOB and single budge parties
Best car route
Bad blood mode
Highlighting problems
The first thing we did was finding out that the main problem of people when they were organising parties were three:
What users want
We experienced in our day by day lives what we really wanted.
We didn’t need something that would change entirely our chat experience. We wanted something that would augment it.
We designed an app without chat but with a “share that” function: in the sharing screen, people would be allowed to import their item list inside the app with just one tap.
Sketching
These years at Napier University have been important for the design of Toastapp. At the beginning I put two tabs to switch between different type of parties. However, I learnt a lot about familiarity. I changed to a better view, with three tabs and a filterable list.
Do not manage who goes with in the car. Let Toastapp do it, efficiently and easily.
Any ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend in the group? Are you really sure you want to be stuck near them in the same 500 with other two elephants?
No? Great! Here’s the solution: set a bad blood. If someone doesn’t stand someone else, don’t force it.

All your parties all together

Never wonder who brings what anymore

Automatically generates the best path for your drivers

Want to avoid awkward moments?
No problem!
